What you'll watch

The show is a run of short scenes, not one story. A clown-host called Chú Tễu opens it as narrator. Scenes then cover village life, including fishing and a farmer guarding ducks from a fox, the legend of the restored sword behind Hanoi's Hoàn Kiếm Lake, a dance of the four sacred animals (dragon, unicorn, phoenix and turtle), and a boat race and fairy dance toward the end. Scenes can change from one performance to the next, so treat this as a guide to the types of scene rather than a fixed programme.
